Price Fluctuation Component

The total price shown on your rating schedule may very in line with fluctuations in the pump price of diesel fuel. The benchmark diesel outlet for monitoring these fluctuations is the BP Service Station, located on the corner of Harris Road and Te Rakau Drive East Tamaki, Auckland.

The PFC will be calculated at the rate of a 0.5% (one half of 1%) movement in the overall rate for every five cent increase (or decrease) in the average pump price of diesel fuel at the BP Service Station above over the preceding week. Any such price fluctuation in the pump price of diesel fuel will be shown as a 'Price Fluctuation Component' and will be applied to the GST exclusive total of each invoice, calculated as above, at the end of each week. You will be advised by email of any fluctuation in the PFC on a weekly basis. This advice will apply to the PFC for the week following. (In other words, you will always be advised of any changes in the PFC, one week in advance).
